Linda McVay is a contemporary realist painter who lives in Gainesville, Florida with her husband. Linda graduated with a BFA in painting from the University of Kansas, Lawrence in 1975. Her post graduate studies at the University of Kansas in the School of Medicine resulted in a certification in Electron Microscopy and a 25 year career as a Biomedical Illustrator in New York, LA and San Francisco. In 1995, a move with family to Palm Beach County Florida inspired a career change. Linda began painting original oils and teaching painting to adults 25 years ago. During a few of those years, she painted several dozen murals in private homes. Currently she divides her time between oil painting and teaching.
